All Fracked Up, Down and Sideways

Practically everything that you can imagine is going to be happening in the coming months and years, and then, after the things that you can imagine happen, a lot of things that you cannot imagine are going to happen.

The outbreak of near-apocalyptic storms in the southeastern region of North America in recent days, (1) is only part of the first wave of the sort of things that will become commonplace. The huge earthquake, tsunami and ongoing nuclear crisis in Japan are also only part of the first wave of the sort of things that will become commonplace.

So get ready. Really big events are in the works. The future will be here very soon, whether you are prepared for it or not. In the memorable words of the Cypher character from the first Matrix movie:

“...(B)uckle your seat belt, Dorothy, because Kansas is going bye-bye.”

The fact that the USA's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has scheduled a “Tier I National Level Exercise” (NLE) for the month of May has not escaped my attention. In FEMA's own words: “NLE 2011 will simulate the catastrophic nature of a major earthquake in the central United States region of the New Madrid Seismic Zone (NMSZ).” (1)

It has also not escaped my attention that FEMA earlier this year issued a contract solicitation to identify: “...sources of supply for meals in support of disaster relief efforts based on a catastrophic disaster event within the New Madrid Fault System for a survivor population of 7M to be utilized for the sustainment of life during a 10-day period of operations.” (2)

Clearly, FEMA is preparing for a huge catastrophe that will adversely affect many millions of people and severely disrupt life in the midsection of the continental USA. The implications for Memphis, Little Rock, St. Louis, Chicago and all points in between are obvious.

Of course, the question is, what does FEMA know and when did they learn it, and how? Because May 2011 does look to be a period of intense crisis for the New Madrid Seismic Zone, if only from flooding. (4) My guess would be that remote viewers in the direct employ of, or under contract to, one or more USA government agencies have identified May 2011 as a time of crisis for that region of the USA.

And right on time, floods of historic proportions are building on the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers in the closing days of April and early May. The flooding is likely to persist for weeks.

Not surprisingly, the rash of hundreds of earthquakes in Arkansas the last few months has many people wondering if perhaps the numerous natural gas wells that have been drilled there in recent years could be a causative factor, the more so, with all the “fracking” that is going on, i.e., high pressure injection of chemical saturated fluid into the subsurface geological strata. And of course, many unanswered questions remain about British Petroleum's Deepwater Horizon oil rig blow-out last year in the Gulf of Mexico, and the implications of that disaster for disruption of sub-seafloor geology, and hypothetically even the New Madrid Seismic Zone farther to the north. (5)

I don't claim to definitively know one way or the other. Though having said that, I am mindful that FEMA is making preparations right now for a mega-disaster in the New Madrid Seismic Zone. So draw your own conclusions.

My best guess, based on the sum total of my personal knowledge base, would be that hell is coming to the USA over the next five years or so, and that the chaos and upheaval will start real soon, in the coming weeks and months.

There will be massive economic disruption, geological and meteorological upheaval, radioactive fallout from Japan will continue to blow across the Pacific and rain down on the USA, the USA government will continue to smash its federal jackboots down on the American people harder and harder while simultaneously declaiming ever more shrilly about America's unique "freedoms," war will continue to rage and be waged, here, there and everywhere, and the whole while the American people will slip deeper and deeper into misery.

The old adage, "He who calls the tune, pays the piper!" comes to mind. For many decades, actually for more than two centuries, the American people have looked the other way while untold millions of people were subjected to unimaginable suffering and atrocities, all to make possible The American Dream. Only it turns out that all along The American Dream was really The American Nightmare when seen from its deeper karmic perspective.

It turns out that from a cosmic justice perspective you cannot slaughter Native Americans and steal their land and not pay a karmic price. It turns out that you cannot enslave and kill tens of millions of Africans and not pay a karmic price. It turns out that you cannot invade, bomb, militarily occupy and stage coups d'état in country after country and not pay a karmic price. It turns out that you cannot massively chemically contaminate the environment and natural ecology and not pay a karmic price. It turns out that you cannot set up an economic system based on debt peonage that enslaves hundreds of millions of people the world over and not pay a karmic price. It turns out that you cannot install the darkly murderous nuclear industry worldwide and not pay a hideously radioactive karmic price.

So America has called the tune. The piper will shortly be demanding his karmic payment.

How could it be otherwise?

And please understand this: no matter where you go, there you are, and your karma will find you. You cannot run from your own soul's cosmic balance sheet. From a karmic perspective it is completely impossible. The psychopaths that pollute this planet and the USA will ultimately painfully discover this truth, when the Universe will individually offer them each an excruciatingly agonizing, hideous, ghastly deal that they however will not reject, seeing as the alternative that will be proffered to them is so very much worse. I would feel sorry for them, except that they have lied, raped, plundered, tortured, slaughtered, robbed, stolen and exploited so many, so much and for so long that I cannot but dispassionately observe that they quite richly deserve the just rewards that the Universe will very soon bestow on each and every one of them, one by one, individually. They don't believe this, but never mind their unbelief.

The evil, darkly wicked boomerangs that they have put in play across time's hoary reach are even now on their return journey, whirling swiftly through the karmic aethers, churning relentlessly and earnestly home, like salmon running frantically upstream to spawn, coming full circle back to the source point of their origin, after a long and eventful time en route, ruthlessly seeking the familiar, blood drenched hands that flung them up and away, those long ago years and centuries.

For more perspective on this time and its significance, please see my a) Minot Manifesto and b) Serious Message From the Heart of America.

The Party's Over -- The Oncoming Economic Tsunami

I was at a going away party recently, and it was borderline surreal for me at a personal level, a kind of animated, wine and hors d'oeuvres, guitar playing, coastal South American vignette, as synecdoche for the broader, kaleidoscopic, global scene, zoomed in close on a tight hybrid-impressionist-cubist focus, the whole thing scrutinized in technicolor and surround sound by a reeling man tumbling head over heels to Earth.

I can only say that distilled to its essence, I felt, and will feel for a very long time, a tremendous sense of loss at the departure of the guest of honor, for whom I have deep affection, and that is more than sobering enough for me, emotionally overwhelming actually, even if we were living through normal days, but we are not, and it is all made ever so much harder by the sure realization and clear vision of what is looming up just ahead on the horizon. And heaping hard on hard, my friend, whom I will sorely miss, has flown far away, right into the teeth of that oncoming storm.

But enough about me, and my perceptions and deep sense of personal loss and concern for the well being of my friend, because you all know what I'm talking about. You know exactly, you who are living in Europe, or even worse, in the USA and Canada, or still worst of all, in Japan.

Because lots of people, things and situations that you love dearly, that mean the world to you, that you may care for even more deeply than life itself, are about to depart. You will mourn their passing, that is a guarantee, you will weep bitterly until you have no more tears to shed and the numbness and bottomless silence set in, but you won't be able to stop it, not most of it, because the global train of events that has been set in motion on this planet by darkly large forces will not come to a rest until it has run its entire karmic course and plunged off the rails and over the edge of the cliff into the jaws of the yawning abyss.

And then, and only then, will what comes next have the opportunity to sprout up, flourish and yield the sweet fruit of What Is To Come.

I would suppose that by now most everyone in the world has read or heard about the earthquake, tidal wave and ongoing nuclear crisis in Japan. But with the passage of time, and the diminution in the level of news coverage by the international mass media about what is happening in Japan, public attention to the gravity of the affair has substantially waned. This decrease in the information flow is carefully calculated to lull the global populace into a false sense of complacency.

By analogy to the characteristic action of a tsunami, you could compare this lull in the news flow from Japan to the way the tide first runs way out, then comes rushing back with a vengeance when a tsunami barrels ashore with all of its destructive fury.

The fact is that we are now in a sort of holding pattern where the world markets are assessing the impact of the multifaceted Japanese catastrophe. But have no doubt: the chickens will very soon be coming home to roost in a major way.

To begin with, the melting down nuclear reactors in Japan have not been stabilized. They continue to emit radiation directly to the environment, and will do so for several months to come, at the least. (1) That is the absolute best case scenario and it is grim. The worst case scenario is that there may be further explosions that scatter massive amounts of radioactive material into the atmosphere and sea, or the cores may melt down all the way through the reactor containment vessels and containment structures and escape directly to the environment. The point is that the nuclear reactors at Fukushima, Japan remain out of control and will constitute a menace to the whole world for a very long time to come, venting radioactivity to the sea and the atmosphere. Have a look at the following websites for an idea of how the radiation will be circulating in the northern hemisphere.

Radiation Spreads throughout the Northern Hemisphere
http://globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=24411

Dynamic map of northern hemisphere Japanese radiation transport
http://transport.nilu.no/browser/fpv_fuku?fpp=conccol_Xe-133_;region=NH

If that doesn't grab your attention, I don't know what will. Of course, this all has huge international economic and ecological implications. Meaning that billions of people will be impacted to one degree or another. Realistically, a lot of people are going to die from cancers and radiation poisoning in the coming years.

Before the crisis Japan was the third largest economy in the world, exporting products to the entire world. But all of that is in jeopardy now. The triple whammy of earthquake, tsunami and nuclear crisis has rocked Japan back on its heels. Japan's just in time, industrial supply chain has been severely disrupted with attendant negative effects on the economy. The Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has warned of “very high uncertainty” for Japan's future, (2) while the Bank of Japan (BOJ) Governor, Masaaki Shirakawa, has explicitly warned that the Japanese economy is in a “severe state.” (3)

Evidently, the global financial firm of Morgan Stanley has arrived at the same conclusion as the IMF and the BOJ, because just a few days ago one of its property funds walked away from a $3.3 billion real estate investment in Tokyo. The Morgan Stanley fund defaulted on its debt payments and turned in the keys to a 32-storey office tower in downtown Tokyo, which includes Microsoft Japan among its tenants. This is the biggest default in Japan's history. (4) Unquestionably, this is a case of cutting losses and getting out while the getting is still good.

And doing so at the bargain basement price of a paltry $3.3 billion.

Why would Morgan Stanley do that? Because, among other things, the radioactive contamination issue is huge and it will not go away. It will have a powerfully negative impact on Japan's economy, and that definitely includes Tokyo and the Tokyo real estate market. If you doubt that, all I can say is: wait.

To be sure, the Japanese government is keenly aware of the problem that the radiation issue poses for Brand Japan. To allay fears of radioactive products being exported to international markets the Japanese government has accordingly announced that it will measure radiation levels on ships leaving Tokyo bay.(5)

But even to take this step is to explicitly underscore that there is a radioactive contamination issue for Brand Japan. The point was buttressed by the recent arrival of a shipment of radioactive Japanese cars in the Russian port of Vladivostok. (6) You might say that the word is now out on the street, in a manner of speaking. Who wants to own or to drive a radioactive car?

The problem for Brand Japan is therefore glaringly evident and it will persist for a very long time. This matters, because up until last month Japan had the third largest economy in the world. But that was then, and now is now, and things have decisively changed.

I agree with George Ure at www.urbansurvival.com that the economic fall-out from the Japanese crises will begin to be felt in a major way in another couple of months or so, say sometime in June. In large measure this will be due to problems with the just in time delivery, international supply chain, as it begins to experience delays and shortages due to problems with Japanese manufacturing capacity and exports.

These effects will ripple globally through the international system. The impact will be felt in the USA, in the Euro Zone, and all over the world when you get right down to it.

And all of this building chaos and confusion that is headed full steam our way is taking place against a back drop of the systematic take down of the economy of the USA, for several decades now the largest economy in the world. Recent headlines foretell the coming collapse of the American system with surprising forthrightness.

One headline says: “Dollar Weakens Against Most Major Currencies.” (7) Another warns of the possibility that the USA government might default on the national debt: “S&P Lowers Its Outlook: Could U.S. Default On Its Debt? ” (8)

Yet another asks: “$6 Gas? Could Happen if Dollar Keeps Getting Weaker.” (9) If you live in the USA, can you afford to pay $90 to fill up your gas tank? Will you be able to commute to work at those prices? And if you cannot, will that cause you to lose your job? And if you lose your job, what will you do for income? What will happen in large, sprawling cities such as Phoenix, Los Angeles and Houston, with their endless miles of commuter clogged freeways and thoroughfares?

Meanwhile, the debt of the USA government is on pace to exceed its legally mandated limit within the next week. (10) And all of this is happening at the same time that fewer than 46% of Americans have jobs. (11)

That loud creaking and cracking sound you can hear gaining intensity in the middle distance is soon to become a thunderous roar as the whole fake, criminally corrupt system known as The American Way spectacularly crashes to Earth. Are you ready for that? Because the ripple effects will be felt widely, all over the world.

Look, I'm not telling you anything radical or seditious here. I'm calling it like it is, straight down the middle. Trouble is on the way and it will hit you hard, real hard, you and most everyone else you know and care about. Privation and deprivation are coming to those who have never ever experienced lack in their lives, who have never wanted for anything.

Even the World Bank president is publicly warning that the world is, “One shock away from crisis.” (12)

Amazingly, even with all of these in-your-face headlines and warnings of the economic tsunami that is imminently going to slam the global system, there are still people who just do not get it. One man I know recently mentioned to me that the world situation seemed to him as though it were “just the usual madness.”

It seems that some people are so deeply asleep that, even if they were to be slugged hard between the eyes with a two by four, they still just would not get it. In the immortal words of Forest Gump, “Stupid is as stupid does.”

There have even been some people who criticized me for being negative, and not offering positive solutions to the public.

To which I can only remonstrate, “Have we fallen so low as a species that the average person cannot even summon the effort of will to rub two neurons together and make a simple plan for survival in tough times?”

Isn't it obvious that with hard times on the way you should store extra food and water? Get an emergency first aid kit together? Stock up on simple barter supplies that you could exchange for needed goods and services in the event of a currency crash?

Or that if you are able you should have a flock of chickens for eggs? Put in a garden for fresh vegetables? Have a milk goat or milk cow? Maybe buy some bullion silver or gold coins as a hedge against the collapse of the money economy? Get extra medications that you may need, in the event of a disruption in supplies?

And so on? Aren't these things obvious?

And so it is that we rapidly approach a sort of Event Horizon in the course of human affairs on this planet. It will be chaotic at times, even extremely chaotic. In many ways, how well you fare in the coming days, months and years will have more to do with “how” you are in the essential core of your being, than “who” or “where” you are, in an external sense.

Beware the Ill Winds - Something Very Wicked This Way Comes

Shades of William Shakespeare, channeled right down through the centuries. For dramatic counterpoint nothing beats the dark imprecation cast by the three evil witches in Macbeth, as they boil up a foul decoction of eye of newt, forked snake's tongue and wool of bat, ensconced in the shadowy recesses of an unnamed cavern.

Double, double toil and trouble
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.
…..........
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
(Macbeth, Act IV, Scene I)

Doesn't that succinctly describe what is happening at Fukushima, Japan where the hellish troika of General Electric (GE), the Tokyo Electric and Power Company (TEPCO), and the Japanese government have whipped up a radioactive, boiling hot nuclear cauldron of Whup Ass Hell-Broth Trouble for the whole of humanity?

And now they have commenced pouring their vile, radioactive brew into the ocean by unknown millions of gallons, flushing into the Pacific the radioactive run-off from the tens of thousands of tons of water that have been dumped on the melted-down reactors to cool them, there to be carried to the soon-to-be-radioactively-poisoned-waters of the Seven Seas by the incessantly circulating currents of the open ocean. (1) The government in Japan has said that the radioactive water would not be a threat to humans (1), but what gullible fool believes that lie? I certainly don't. Do you?

And then there is the matter of all of that radioactive steam and smoke that has been issuing on and off for weeks now, in varying amounts, from the melted-down reactors and the ruined hulks of the containment structures and demolished spent-fuel-rod-cooling-pools. As the weeks go by and more and more radioactive steam and smoke has escaped, the mainstream news media have said less and less about the ongoing crisis at Fukushima.

I guess that's because the West Coast of North America is directly downwind from Japan. Prevailing winds are right now carrying radioactive contamination from Japan across the Pacific to British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, California and Mexico. Here you can see a very good model of the prevailing winds and how they disperse the radioactive plume across the Pacific Ocean to North America, before going on to the rest of the northern hemisphere.

University of Maryland Plume Trajectory Modeling

http://www.atmos.umd.edu/~tcanty/hysplit

But not to worry, says the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of the USA. Even though radioactivity from the Fukushima nuclear reactors has been found at a growing number of locations across the USA, "These detections in air, precipitation, and milk were expected, and the levels detected have been far below levels of public-health concern." (2)

Others have been doing their own analyses, however, and based on a century of scientific research have drawn the rather different conclusion that even low levels of ionizing radiation are carcinogenic, and there is likely not a threshold level below which this is not true. (3) In other words, the EPA is simply lying about the menace to public well-being. The radiation from Fuskushima, like all other ionizing radiation, is absolutely hazardous to human health.

An additional problem is that in recent weeks there have been numerous reports that many EPA radiation monitoring devices across the country do not even work, are in need of repair, or yield results that need "review." (4)(5)(6) This obviously further compromises the EPA's blandishments to the public to not be concerned about radiation levels.

And make no mistake about it: Something very wicked this way comes.

Here's how wicked it is. This is what the radioactivity released from the destroyed nuclear reactor at Chernobyl has done to the children in Belarus and the Ukraine.

Chernobyl Legacy
(on the right sidebar click on "Intro" and "Chernobyl Legacy" for the slideshow)
http://inmotion.magnumphotos.com/essay/chernobyl

I am reminded of the words of Gopi krishna, the cosmically-realized, Indian kundalini yogi, who foresaw the horrific effects of nuclear radiation on humanity in the future, and prophetically warned of what has already begun to happen in our time, courtesy of Chernobyl, U.S. Military depleted uranium munitions use in Afghanistan, Iraq and the Balkans, and now undoubtedly with more horrors to issue from the ongoing nuclear crisis at Fukushima. In his poetic book, The Shape of Events To Come, Gopi Krishna speaks of the monstrous impact of radioactive contamination on human DNA:

"A genetic poison for a grisly crop
Of grinning monsters and grimacing freaks,
Whose language is a blend of horrid shrieks,
Fouling the outraged earth for many a year
With such abortions none their sight can bear.
And who can say with what revolting shape
It will the future stock of mankind drape?”

( source: http://www.gopikrishna.net )

And you had better know that this "genetic poison for a grisly crop of grinning monsters and grimacing freaks" is definitely on the way. Here is the latest EPA radionuclide monitoring release.

http://www.epa.gov/radiation/docs/rert/radnet-cart-filter-final.pdf

According to this EPA report, in the last month the dangerous radionuclides, cesium-137 and iodine-131, have been detected at low levels on the Pacific islands of Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands and Hawaii, and on the North American mainland in Alaska, California, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Washington State, Alabama and Florida. Where uranium isotopes are concerned, uranium-234 is reported as being detected at low levels in the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, Hawaii, California and Washington State, while uranium-238 was reportedly detected in the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, Hawaii and California.

Sadly, this recent EPA report understates the scope of the problem. The EPA certainly knows that traces of radioactivity from the Fukushima nuclear reactors also have turned up in rainwater in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and North and South Carolina. These facts have been widely reported in the news media in recent weeks, but those data do not appear in the EPA report linked above. In fact, it is hard to know how accurate the EPA reports are, because as mentioned above, there are many "gaps"in the coverage of the EPA's radiation monitoring system. (7) And the reports will keep coming, as thirteen American cities report traces of iodine-131 in the drinking water, Montpelier, Vermont reports cesium-137 in milk samples., and iodine-131 turns up in milk in Phoenix and Los Angeles. (8)

With rising mistrust generally of governments worldwide, and especially in the wake of the sporadic and weak flow of information from the Japanese government about the crisis at Fukushima, there is growing concern that everyday people must monitor ambient radiation levels themselves.

One such effort just getting off the ground is the Radiation Network, centered on the USA, but with limited coverage of Japan and Europe, as well.

http://www.radiationnetwork.com/index.htm

So far, the levels of radiation that have been reported by the Radiation Network are low, but no doubt as time goes on, and as the Fukushima crisis festers, we will see more monitoring of radiation by private individuals. Given the lies and misinformation coming from official agencies in Japan and the USA how could it be otherwise?

The more so, as the EPA's response to the Fukushima crisis has been to seek to greatly increase the permissible levels of radiation in food, water, and soil, (9) the better to transform radioactively ill winds into radioactively nil winds.

Clearly, we are dealing with vicious psychopathology hard at work in high places. The people (if that is what they are) running the current corporate-government system want to hurt us and the whole planet. They are oblivious to humanity's well being. They lie with impunity. They distort reality and the truth without regard for anyone's health, or future life prospects. That is the sober truth of the situation in which we find ourselves.

The Fukushima crisis is not over. Far from it. No, the Fukushima crisis is just beginning, and the radioactive, ill winds have but begun to blow.

Fukushima Is Horrifically Worse Than You Have Been Told

Fukushima is a kind of global “kill shot,” make no mistake about that. The situation is dire in the extreme. The global nuclear industry is trying to kill you, and Fukushima is their latest broadside, aimed at the whole planet. The entire nuclear complex, from uranium mining, to nuclear weapons (including depleted uranium munitions), to nuclear electrical generating plants, to research reactors, to so-called “nuclear medicine,” has to go.

Look at the photos of the Fukushima plant at this link:

http://cryptome.org/eyeball/daiichi-npp/daiichi-photos.htm

Does any rational person seriously think that such total destruction can be fixed or repaired? That it is only a question of reconnecting the electricity and turning the pumps back on?

The reactors and spent-fuel-rod-cooling-pools have been shredded. It's a war zone, and I mean that literally. The nuclear industry has turned this planet into a giant nuclear war zone that targets the entire human race, and Fukushima is its latest battlefield.

Believe me, the situation is worse than bad, it's worse than dire, it is history-altering horrific. A lot of people are going to die from what is happening in Fukushima, into the millions for sure, that is not in question. The only question is how many millions. If we are “lucky,” only one or two million persons will die. And if we are unlucky, well, things could get really grim, unimaginably hellish, on this planet we call home.

Here's how bad it really is.

There are up to 1,000 dead bodies in the countryside around the Fukushima nuclear reactors that can't be collected, because the corpses are too radioactive. (1)

The caesium fallout levels now rival the levels recorded when the Soviet nuclear reactor at Chernobyl exploded in 1986. (2)

As of this past week, three of the reactors at Fukushima are in a state of melt down, and if they can't be stopped, the radioactive result may be “permanent dead zones” in Japan. (3)

It may take many years, perhaps as much as 50 to 100 years, to bring the reactor cores back under control. (4)

The Japanese government is bringing in the world's largest concrete pump from the USA, to spray water on the melting-down nuclear reactors. (5)(6)

Even the Japanese Prime Minister admits that the Japanese government is in a state of “maximum alert.” (7)

As well he might, given reports that, “Various embassies in Japan are passing out potassium iodide tablets... “ to their citizens (8)

That suggests that the embassies know that harmful radiation is spreading more widely from the reactors.

The hard truth is that even low levels of radiation can hurt you badly, even kill you.

You don't have to believe me. Listen to Jeff Patterson, DO, immediate past president of Physicians for Social Responsibility:

"There is no safe level of radionuclide exposure, whether from food, water or other sources. Period. Exposure to radionuclides, such as iodine-131 and cesium-137, increases the incidence of cancer. For this reason, every effort must be taken to minimize the radionuclide content in food and water." (9)

You want to know where this is going?

In late 2011 and early 2012 the first babies conceived during the ongoing nuclear crisis will be born in northern Japan, which is now being saturated with high levels of radiation.

You want to know what nuclear radiation does to babies? Look at these photos of what the nuclear fall-out from the depleted uranium munitions used by the United States military has produced in Iraq.

(Warning: very graphic images, not for viewing by children or the faint of heart.)

And these:

That is the ghastly fruit of American foreign and military policy, of more than 60 years of nuclear engineering by the military-industrial complex.

Look at the photos in the links above. Think of them the next time you salute the American flag, or sing the Star Spangled Banner, or send money to the IRS, because when you do that you are paying for American troops to do these things, and you are praising the darkly wicked system that produces these unspeakably horrific crimes.

It's your money, and from here on you can never say that you didn't know, that you had no idea these things were happening, in your name as an American and with your money, because now you do know.

The age of innocence and feigned ignorance is over. This is what the nuclear industry is doing to the human race, whether through the American military on foreign battlefields, or through the willful, criminal negligence of the nuclear power industry.

These matters are of soul defining importance. What are you going to do about it?
